Founded by multi-award-winning pastry chef Lindsay Pemberton, my academy was born from a deep belief that families today need more moments of togetherness—real connection that pulls us away from screens and into something meaningful. Whether you’re baking with your child, making something special for a loved one, or learning just for yourself, every moment in our kitchen is filled with purpose, joy, and community.
The heart of Morton Baking Academy began decades ago in my Gran’s home, where love was served on tiny plates from her hostess trolley. I can still remember the feeling of being completely seen and heard as we shared stories over delicate cakes and homemade treats. Baking made me feel loved—and in turn, it taught me how to love others.
As a child, I’d pretend I was a TV chef, “talking to my audience” while stirring cake batter. As I grew older, that dream never left me. After years of working in the luxury wedding cake world—and winning 11 national awards—I knew it was time to share my skills in a more personal, powerful way.
So in July 2024, I launched Morton Baking Academy to help others experience what baking has always meant to me: a way to nourish the soul and strengthen bonds. My mission? To give parents, children, and individuals of all backgrounds the skills—and confidence—they need to create beautiful, delicious moments of connection through baking.
We’re proud to be one of the most welcoming and accessible baking schools in Milton Keynes and the UK. All of our classes are relaxed, hands-on, and taught in a way that feels approachable and empowering—even if you've never picked up a whisk.
